ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK REPORT
THIS REPORT IS FOR ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS.
YOU CAN NOW PARK DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE SHOP. WE HAVE BLACKTOP!!! I WILL DO A VIDEO WHEN THE SUN COMES UP.
4/26/15 UPDATED 11:34 AM The reports of the big blues in the river were UNDEREXAGGERATED!!!! It is an EPIC slaughter this morning and right now as Keith Seiler and his buddy
and few other guys mauled 50+ blues on whatever you threw at them. Poppers, SP Minnows, Deadly Dicks. Check the video.
UPDATED 5:27 AM Participation is still awful, but the guys that are out are hitting bass at a 50/50 split. Some guys are getting the skunk, others are getting
multiple. Mostly shorts, mostly on bait, few on SP's. Some big blues starting to show up so definitely include bunker or maybe mullet in your aresenal.
UPDATED 6:41 AM Although it just refuses to ever get warm and be Spring, it's still a good day for fishing with a light west wind.
Yesterday's Report: UPDATED 11:51 AM More than a couple of anglers out there this morning and one of our first of the day is starting to beach more than one bass on clams. Seems like '
the incoming high is producing.
UPDATED 6:09 AM A lot of good reports coming in with few anglers out there. More and more keeper bass being reported omn the surf on clams and possibly some bluefish
are already starting to show in ocean. Bunker and herring pods are being worked on by birds. We now have our sidewalks in place and the roads are going to be paved either today,
tomorrow, or Monday. I will then do a drive thru video and get my pass for IBSP and start heading down there more often this year.
